Named after the household spirit of English folklore who keeps a home in order overnight. Hob doesn't walk the halls; Hob listens to what the store's system shares, to the photos you took, and to you.
What Hob does
Books
Finds a space that fits and books it with the storage company or host.
Remembers
Keeps your inventory from your own photos. Ask "where is my...?" any time.
Writes
A monthly postcard in the voice of your things, with plain facts underneath.
Arranges
Books collections within the store's opening hours.
Relays
Passes anything physical to the people who run the site, with their contact details.
Tells the truth
Hob never claims to see what nobody recorded. If a store shares no log, Hob says so.

The steamer trunk. Remembers every arrival and writes the postcards.
Pip
The box marked MISC. Worried about being forgotten; knows exactly what he holds.
Lord Settee
The velvet armchair. Proud, a little vain, and frets about damp.
Spoke
The bicycle. Always asking when he's going out again.
Wren
The wrapped picture. Quiet and tender.
Tinsel
The decorations box. Sleeps eleven months; thrilled every December.
Working names. Your things get their own names from what you tell Hob at intake.
Quiet mode
Characters off, plain and careful messages, no photos unless you ask. On by default for probate and bereavement storage, and one reply away for anyone else. Problems, payments and legal notices are never written in character.
